College Composition and Research (English 101) is a course offered at Chillicothe High School in Chillicothe, Missouri. The course is dual-credit through North Central Missouri College in Trenton, Missouri. Students enrolled in the class were tasked with writing nine essays over the course of the fall semester. Topics in the essays ranged from creative personal narratives to intense research projects.

Instructor: Dr. Jill Watkins
Dr. Jill Watkins graduated from Trenton High School in Trenton, Missouri. She then earned a Bachelor of Science in English/Education from Missouri Western State University, a Masters of Education in Secondary Leadership and Administration from Northwest Missouri State University, an Educational Specialist in Superintendency from Northwest Missouri State University, and a Doctorate in Education from William Woods University. Dr. Watkins has worked as a middle school and high school English Language Arts teacher, a secondary-level instructional coach, a secondary-level blended learning coach, a district-level Instructional Technology Facilitator, a college-level instructor, and a middle-level assistant principal. The 2017-18 school year is Dr. Watkins' third year at Chillicothe High School where she teaches English 101 and English 102.
